BRICK WALL

When given a box full of 160 glass plate negatives, I was instantly connected to the Gilderson family, whom were stuck in these 3x4” pieces of glass. Who are they? Where are they from? What did they do? Could they still be alive? The amazement that these people are portrayed only by chemicals and a piece of glass. Focusing on the family unit, I wanted to bring these loved ones together through photography.

The use of location, the Brick Wall, throughout connects the subjects, a symbol that gives this series authenticity. A piece of evidence that shows the family connections.
